Planned within the framework, philosophy and purpose Little Lighthouse Learning Center implements the Creative Curriculum which aligns with the Ohio Department of Education Early Learning Content Standards. Integrated into what we offer is Reggio Inspired programming which places a high value on children’s work and their interpretations. Children are encouraged to be thinkers through our creative curriculum, while their individuality and uniqueness is nurtured. All learning activities are carefully planned to be developmentally appropriate. Our administrator and teaching staff participated in a professional study group entitled “Can I Tell You My Story?”. This literacy rich program was generously funded by the Stocker Foundation, Nordson Corporation Foundation and the Nord Family Foundation. We continue to utilize the principles from this program to encourage literacy in our Creative Curriculum.
